The quality of a Panama hat is determined by three factors:
1. Thinness of the threads, the number of threads per inch, the finer and more flexible is better.
2. Uniformity (same thickness and perfectly aligned).
3. Uniform color.
A high quality hat meets these requirements, but mostly they are classified by the fineness of the threads, this being what determines the cost of a fine toquilla straw hat. Our hats are quality 20 points per inch.
